"FESTIVAL FOR CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES" City of Ruse

From September 26, 2019 to September 28, 2019, the Vratsa Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in partnership with the Innobridge Business Innovation Center, organized and held a FESTIVAL FOR CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES, in the city of Ruse. The location of the event was the Youth Park in Ruse and was organized under the project "KIDS - A unique concept for family tourism and travel in the Romanian-Bulgarian area", financed by the Interreg VA Romania-Bulgaria Program.

The purpose of the festival was to promote the cultural, historical and natural heritage of the cross-border region in a new and interesting way for visitors. Craft workshops were organized in which families with children could touch the magic of the crafts developed along the Danube river since ancient times and remaining in the cultural heritage of Romania and Bulgaria.

During the festival, visitors had the unique opportunity to see and enjoy various workshops and demonstrations of traditional crafts and customs, taste traditional dishes and even make their own small souvenirs from wood, leather or textiles. In addition, educational talks and games were held at the entertainment stands. Within the framework of the festival, crafts were presented such as: folk musical instrument making, wood carving, silk hand painting, icon painting, leather processing, art doll making, traditional fabrics, needlework and embroidery, pottery and Neolithic ceramics.
